Ramblers Cafe
This is a new tea room and gift shop near the square in the centre of Gosforth.
Call in for beverages, light lunches, including baguettes, jacket potatoes,
all day breakfasts, scones, cream teas and daily specials. Open daily except
Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Lakeland Habit Cafe
This cafe is upstairs in the shop. They serve varied food to suit every taste and budget. Open during the day. Each month there is a speciality evening with a menu from a different country. Every Sunday there is a full carvery, but booking is recommended
The Lion And Lamb
This pub is popular with local residents, and serves bar foods and snacks, and of course beer! Food is served during the day and early evening.
The Bridge Inn
The Inn is situated between Gosforth and neighbouring Eskdale. They serve high quality bar meals which are available during the day and evening.
The Strands Hotel
One of the most welcoming pubs in the area, the Strands serves a vast range of bar meals, at very reasonable prices. Open throughout the day and evening.

Situated in Nether Wasdale, the Screes offers a varied pub menu, with some excellent vegetarian options, and a daily specials board. Open throughout the day and evening.
The Globe Hotel
Previously known as Mary Ellens, the Globe serves a range of real ales, and has a large screen showing sports events.
Bar food is served at lunchtime and in the early evening to 9 p.m.
The Bower House
Situated in nearby Eskdale, The Bower House serves top quality food. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and is popular with tourists.
Santon Bridge Craft Shop Cafe
Situated in nearby Santon Bridge, next to the Craft Shop, this is an excellent
cafe, popular with tourists.
