Have you registered and received your computerised library membership card?

Why not call in to Gosforth Library or even join on-line by visiting Cumbria Library where you can renew and request books, and also access reference material courtesy of the on-line resources. It is free to join whether in person or on-line.

Computer and Internet access including email and colour printer are available in the Library, along with dvd hire, Talking Books, Childrens Storysacks, photocopying and fax facilities. There is also a thriving Book Group who meet regularly. These together with a wide range of books and information are available between opening hours currently:-

Monday 10 am to 12 noon

Wednesday 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm

Friday 10 am to 12 noon

Saturday 10. am to 12 noon

Friends of Gosforth Library

is an informal group, set up to support Cumbria Libraries and strngthen Gosforth Library in the community by encouraging new users and promoting library services. Their purpose is to:-

1. Get a group of like-minded people together in a social setting .

2. Raise the profile of the Library and facilities in the community

3. Support events and activities subject to our volunteer policy

4. Promote home delivery

5. Provide ideas for library development and help with consultation
