Gosforth Library Link
needs YOU to
Use it and Run it
Since May 2016 the Library has been run by Village Volunteers as a Library Link and is running well and is being used by many readers, but help on both fronts is always needed to keep it open. As a Link it continues to get valuable support from the County Library Service.
If not already a library member call in to Gosforth Library or go online at Cumbria Library where you can renew and request books, and also access reference material courtesy of on-line resources. It is free to join whether in person or online. We have a young member who joined at four weeks to help us continue to the next generation! If you wish to join the Volunteers please drop in at the Library during Opening Hours or contact it by using the email below.
Free broadband access is available by WiFi and by a laptop computer which can be used to access online library resources as well for as personal searches.
Available at the Library is a wide range rotating stock of books, fiction and non-fiction, children’s and Large Print, as well as an increasing excellent collection of books, in many subjects, generously donated by villagers. Also available from the County Service is Free Home delivery for those that need it. Free (within Cumbria) book requests can be made and there are no late fines at the Link.
Also available are magazines, newspapers, tourist information, and information on local events.
Other services and offerings have started, and are in planning, and can be read about at Library and Village notice boards.
